Invest São Vicente is not an agency, brokerage, developer or referral business. We hold no property listings and earn no commissions, finder's fees or trail income from any transaction described in our content.
Research methodology
Every quantitative claim is tied to a primary source · Banco de Cabo Verde, INE Cabo Verde, ASA, ENAPOR, the Conservatória dos Registos, or the editorial team's on-island scraping and observation. Methodology is disclosed; assumptions are stated; uncertain figures are flagged as research-in-progress rather than estimated.
Transparency
Sponsorships, when they occur, are limited and disclosed in line. Personal holdings of the founder are disclosed in any article touching her own units. We publish corrections in full. Appended, not silently rewritten.
Practical investment experience
I founded Boa Mindelo Apartments in 2024 and have been acquiring, renovating, letting and reporting on my own short-stay rentals in Mindelo ever since. Everything I publish here is written from that first-hand operator experience.
No commissions
We do not accept transaction commissions from agents, developers, notaries, banks, mortgage brokers or insurance providers. We will not introduce readers to a counterparty in exchange for compensation, ever. This is a structural commitment, not a policy choice.
Long-term perspective
We write for investors with a multi-year horizon. We avoid launch-cycle hype, refuse to forecast quarterly returns, and treat capital growth and rental yield as separate disciplines that compound on different time scales.

How we are funded
Reader newsletter subscriptions and a small number of clearly disclosed sponsorships of unrelated services. We accept no real-estate transaction commissions, no kickbacks, no developer payments.
About the founder
Nilza Miranda
I am Nilza Miranda. I founded Boa Mindelo Apartments in 2024, acquiring and operating my own short-stay rentals in Mindelo, São Vicente. In 2026 I launched Invest São Vicente to help other investors navigate the market I once had to figure out entirely on my own, no local network, no playbook, no reliable data.
I write the Case Studies section in the first person, drawing on the financial files of my own portfolio at Boa Mindelo Apartments.
I hold no broker licence, represent no developer and offer no advisory mandates. My role at Invest São Vicente is to share, in the first person, what I learn as an owner-operator at Boa Mindelo Apartments.
